Not dead...

...not yet, anyway. I've had fun blog posts planned since the holidays, but then it was the holidays, and then deadlines loomed and all that seemed important was writing, writing, writing. And then...the dreaded lurgy. It's just a cold, but it's a nasty one, compounded with sinus infections. I think, I hope, I dream, I wish, I am seeing the end of it now, but jeez. I just don't know. It's me and the couch and stupid TV. Brainless. Useless.

But wasn't the TV on Tuesday splendid? It did my heart good to see so many people celebrating democracy together. It did everyone's heart good.

More enlightened and enlightening posts to follow shortly, I hope. In the meantime: lots of vitamins, water, and sleep. And to the urchin who sneezed all over me at the supermarket about a week ago: COVER! I'm not as nimble at dodging such outbursts as I used to be. I'm just saying.
