Mystery Scene article

Okay, there’s definitely something in the air lately! Sarah Wisseman wrote a super article in the latest issue of Mystery Scene called “Digging Death: Archaeological Mysteries.” Super not only because it was well written but also because tucked in between Agatha Christie and Lindsey Davis (and just a page away from Elizabeth Peters and Lyn Hamilton) were two paragraphs about my series. The article was a nice introduction to work by archaeologists and books with a feel for antiquity. I was honored to be in such illustrious company; even better, Sarah is an archaeologist herself, so she totally gets it. And…she writes mysteries too.

Hi Dana,

So exciting!! I'm gonna look for a copy of this mag at Borders today.

Also - if visitors click on the Mystery Scene link, they'll arrive that the M.S. website where they'll see a picture of the latest issue. If they they click on the magazine cover they'll be brought to another page where on the right sidebar will be a link to the table of contents. If folks click on the table of contents link, a .pdf file will be downloaded and there will be a picture of you, Dana, in a pit!! Wicked!!

Congratulations!

Best,

Roy

Thanks, Roy! I was sooo excited! It's a really nice article. And as for the pictures, it was hard to find a shot that wasn't just of my butt sticking up out of the unit (traditional archaeological pose) or of me pointing to someone, giving orders (traditional Dana pose)! The one in the article, where I'm peeking out of the pit, sums it all up nicely. Dana
